Who is eligible?
Students (Grades 9, 10, 11, 12) residing in the Portland area are eligible to receive the Z-Man Scholarship.
The recipients will be recognized and honored for their proven ability to overcome life’s obstacles and hardships. And for their dedication to service in their community.
What are the benefits?
The Z-Man Scholarship Foundation strives to cover portions of tuition, student fees and TriMet passes for its recipients. Some costs such as books and uniforms may be the responsibility of the recipient. The details of each scholarship vary based on different arrangements with local schools and the decision of the Board of Directors. Each successful applicant’s scholarship amount is determined at the sole discretion of the Board, and it not guaranteed to cover applicant’s full tuition of any particular school.
Additionally, each applicant will be matched with a mentor from the law enforcement community. This relationship consist of one-on-one activities, group team-building activities and community service projects.
When can I apply?
Applications are usually accepted October through mid-January for the following school year.
